The Best is Yet to Come
The Best is Yet to Come
Waking up each morning it’s easy to give the glory to God for allowing my heart to beat another beat, my lungs to take another breath and my mind to be alert when things are going well. It’s easy to get out of bed and take on the world when things are going easy or going my way. But what happens when things aren’t so easy. What happens when it seems like the world has come against you and it takes everything out of you just to open your eyes and attempt to function. Those are the days I want to give you hope for. I know all too well how it feels to wake up and think, “You have got to be kidding me, it isn’t a dream? Now what? What can I do?”
The truth that I hold on to during these times is that The Best Is Yet to come. You may not know what I am talking about so I will show you. I know it’s in these moments I have to encourage myself and not focus on the circumstances around me or my current situation. When you can take yourself out of a situation and look at the facts, not the circumstances surrounding your situation, that my friend is when the truth is revealed.
Let’s talk about when I went through my divorce. The situation told me I was going to be a divorced mother of three who would have no home and was broke. All I could focus on, in that moment, was I would be a broke mother of three trying to rebuild my life with nothing and no one. I focused on the situation and circumstances that surrounded the truth. The only truth in this situation was that I was entering a new season of life with my three children by my side. All the other things I focused on could be changed. The idea that I was broken because I had gone through a divorce was a lie, I was telling myself. No one else was telling me that. I used this situation to create excuses on why I couldn’t do things rather than why I could.
This new season in my life showed the truth that I had the incredible opportunity to write a new chapter of my life with my children by my side. I was going to change the way I viewed myself and use the pain I had from the situation as fuel for my success. It’s all about mindset and the way we view ourselves in the situation. Oftentimes we cannot change the things going on around us but we can change our internal thoughts and the way we react to them. Knowing that the best is yet to come will change your mindset and will give you hope for your future. I know that it worked for me and will continue to work for me in the future. I challenge you right now to look at what is troubling you and say that the best is yet to come in this situation. After all, if you feel like you’re in the lowest valley the only direction to go is up. Change your mindset and you can change your life.
Itís nearly impossible to find well-informed people for this topic, but you seem like you know what youíre talking about! Thanks
